Tikal and Yaxha' National Parks - Three Days, Two Nights

Day 1: 7AM departure from Guatemala City airport for the 50 minute flight to Flores. Reception at the airport and transfer to Yaxha' National Park (the third largest Mayan city in the Peten after El Mirador & Tikal). Accompanied by your expert trip leader, explore the ruins of this city still covered by lush jungle. Wild life is abundant here. One can easily spot monkeys, toucans, parrots, deer and with a little luck even crocodiles sunbathing on the lake shore. After lunch explore the remote and recently excavated site of Topoxte (a small island in Lake Yaxha) Overnight at the El Sombrero Lodge on the shore of Lake Yaxha.

Day 2: Mid-morning transport to Tikal National Park. Tour of the ruins. Overnight at Tikal Inn or Jungle Lodge.

Day 3: Today you will wake up with the sounds of the jungle. You have the day to explore Tikal. In the afternoon you will be driven back to Flores for the short flight to Guatemala City. All meals included.
